SAPTCO and Blue Masar Marine Transport Sign an MoU to Enhance Public Transport Integration

The Saudi Maritime and Logistics Conference 2025 witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) and Blue Masar Marine Transport, on the sidelines of the conference’s opening ceremony, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Eastern Province, and in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser AlJasser, Minister of Transport and Logistics Services.
The memorandum aims to strengthen the integration between land and marine transport services, contributing to a seamless and comprehensive travel experience for passengers, supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, and reducing reliance on private vehicles. It also seeks to promote the exchange of technical and operational expertise between both parties in the fields of transportation and service management.
The agreement further includes the coordination of trip schedules, establishment of connection points between SAPTCO land stations and Blue Masar marine terminals, and the development of a unified electronic booking system linking ticketing platforms of both companies. Additionally, joint marketing campaigns will be launched to promote integrated transport services and expand their reach.
This collaboration marks an important step toward developing a multi-modal public transport system in the Eastern Province and serves as a model for effective national partnerships that support the Saudi Vision 2030 objectives of improving quality of life and providing modern, sustainable transport solutions.
