The Federation of Saudi Chambers has approved the election of Eng. Khalid ALHOGAIL as Chairman of the Saudi-Spanish Business Council for the 2026–2030 term. The appointment reflects the confidence placed in his role in advancing economic and trade relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Spain, as well as in fostering direct and indirect investment opportunities. It also underscores the importance of strengthening effective communication and promoting a collaborative business environment across various sectors in both countries.

Saudi-Spanish cooperation in the transport sector stands as a tangible example of this strategic partnership, exemplified by the collaboration between the Saudi Public Transport Company (SAPTCO) and its Spanish partner, ALSA. Together, the two companies demonstrate the depth of bilateral investment cooperation and the value of transferring international expertise to enhance the efficiency of this vital sector, improve quality of life, and support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

These efforts contribute to building sustainable, high-value partnerships and strengthening the private sector’s role in advancing international economic cooperation.

The Council’s efforts are further reinforced through close coordination with the Ministry of Investment and its initiatives to empower investors and enhance the investment environment, alongside the continued support of the Federation of Saudi Chambers for the business council ecosystem. This integrated approach helps strengthen opportunities for collaboration among investors, entrepreneurs, and companies on both sides.

The election of Eng. Khalid ALHOGAIL reflects the recognition of his extensive experience in investment and business, as well as the anticipated contribution he can make to advancing the Council’s agenda, strengthening economic partnerships, and translating emerging opportunities into practical initiatives that serve the aspirations of the business communities in the two friendly countries.
