SAPTCO Signs Agreement for Public Transport Network Operation in Tabuk

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Tabuk, an agreement was signed for the operation of the public transport network in the city of Tabuk between Saptco and the Tabuk Municipality. This agreement aims to pave the way for a more sustainable future in the transport sector and improve the quality of life in the city.

The agreement focuses on facilitating the movement of individuals within Tabuk, contributing to the development and organization of public transport services through coordination and integration with other transport services. The agreement includes the operation of buses powered by electricity as well as fuel, while maintaining environmental sustainability and reducing carbon emissions.

The project will operate 30 buses, with 75% running on fuel and 25% powered by electricity. Additionally, 106 bus stops will be established along the project routes, which will extend over a distance of 128 kilometers. Furthermore, GPS tracking systems will be employed to ensure efficiency and reliability in services.

The project will include 90 drivers and aims to improve the quality of life for residents while reducing traffic congestion. The duration of the project is set for five years, reflecting Saptco's commitment to enhancing public transport culture and providing safe and reliable transport services for the community.

Through this initiative, Saptco seeks to achieve a sustainable future vision for the transport sector in the Tabuk region, benefiting both citizens and visitors alike.
