Eng. Khalid ALHOGAIL Honored as Honorary President of the Arab Union of Land Transport and Elected President of the Arab Transport Experts Authority

Eng. Khalid ALHOGAIL , Chairman of the Board of the Arab Union of Land Transport (AULT), presided over the 39th General Assembly of the Union, held in Amman, Jordan, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Nidhal Al-Qatamin, Jordan’s Minister of Transport. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Union’s member states, the League of Arab States, and several regional and international organizations, coinciding with the Union’s Golden Jubilee, marking the 50th anniversary of its establishment.

In his address, Eng. ALHOGAIL emphasized that the Union’s five-decade journey represents a significant milestone in advancing joint Arab cooperation in the land transport sector and reflects the steady institutional development achieved over the years. He highlighted the importance of the next phase in strengthening partnerships and expanding collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance the efficiency of the Arab logistics ecosystem and reinforce its readiness to respond to global developments.

During the General Assembly, the Arab Transport Experts Authority was officially launched as one of the session’s key outcomes. The Authority will serve as a specialized Arab platform that brings together expertise and professional competencies while providing technical and advisory support to decision-makers across member states and regional and international organizations.

The General Assembly also announced the appointment of Eng. Khalid ALHOGAIL as Honorary President of the Arab Union of Land Transport in recognition of his contributions during his four-year presidency. In addition, he was unanimously elected President of the Arab Transport Experts Authority.
